As a member of the production workforce the Mechanical Technician you’ll be working with the assembly, manufacturing and service of the company’s products. This is great role for someone interested in working with innovative and world-class products.
As a Technician – Mechanical, your day-to-day tasks might include:
- Assembly and testing of our products and ongoing service work to instructions from work orders and requisite quality assurance standards.
- Working as part of a team to provide support for the manufacture / repair and service of Military and commercial products
- Assist with the training of Trainee Technicians
- Organising and keeping the workshop clean and tidy
- Completion of AITP Certification
Qualifications and Experience
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship or training programme in a Technical discipline to a minimum of a SVQ qualification (or equivalent nationally recognised qualification) or has equivalent industry experience
- Be experienced and able to use hand tools and small power tools
- Experienced in hose manufacturing and pressure testing
- General instrument and small-bore pipe work
- Proven track record of designated discipline in a mechanical environment.
- Knowledge of QA and Health and Safety within the work environment.
- Recognised proven skills in a technical discipline.
- Assembly of breathing equipment (desirable)
