Scantech Offshore Ltd provide an impressive range of rental equipment, including air compressors, steam generators and rig cooling services, as well as designing, installing and commissioning bespoke heat suppression safety systems.
Our remit extends to the provision of qualified and competent personnel for the operating, servicing and maintaining all rental equipment, affording clients the highest standards of quality and safety for operations. Scantech Offshore products are delivered worldwide from our key locations in the UK (Aberdeen and Great Yarmouth) and Western Australia (Perth).

The Role:
As HSE Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting site day to day HSE Company requirements, reporting to the Quality Manager, responsible for driving the safety culture within the business with a view to improving engagement, proactive reporting and reducing incidents.
Work in conjunction with local, regional & divisional HSE representatives to ensure HSEQ consistency across the business.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct new employee HSE Inductions
  • Responsible for managing the Behavioural Safety Observation System –
  • Improve participation through site support and workforce guidance
  • Administration of data and statistics
  • Follow up of actions and communication of feedback to the workforce

Schedule and chair:

  • HSE Committee Meetings
  • Fire Warden Meetings
  • Toolbox talks
  • Document site tours/inspections with findings and follow up actions.
  • Weekly Fire Alarm testing/emergency exercise scenarios coordination

In addition:

  • Accident/Incident Investigation including Root Cause Analysis and sharing of learnings
  • Provide support/assistance to achieve company HSE objectives
  • HSE Management System support as required
  • HSE Policies and Procedures support as required
  • Site Health & Safety Internal Audits input
  • Monthly HSE data/statistics collation for forwarding to QHSE Manager
  • Compilation and distribution of HSE & Technical alerts.
  • Regional HSE meetings – attendance/input
  • Environmental initiatives support
  • Responsible for the management of employee health surveillance and administration of data.
  • COSHH - maintain and update records of all chemical hazard risk assessments, safety data sheets and provide support to supervision and the workforce
  • Hand Arm Vibration maintenance of records
  • Noise At Work process implementation – support/assistance
  • Rollout of workforce communications/initiatives
  • Prioritisation and coordination of HSE support activities as requested by QHSE Manager
  • Management of approved vendors and subcontractors.
  • Travel to overseas locations to perform internal audits.

Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Manager within the timeframe specified, in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are deemed competent to fulfil these.

Skills & Experience:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • IOSH Membership (preferred)
  • Accident / Incident Investigation
  • COSHH Assessor
  • Manual Handling Assessor
  • Internal Auditor (preferred)
  • Experience and understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
  •
