The Role

Are you passionate about driving business performance through exceptional HR practices? As an HR Business Partner, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing operational HR within our Energy product line and support functions. You’ll collaborate closely with Heads of Product Lines and Departments to lead and refine talent management programs, coaching and influencing to elevate people management skills across the team. Your efforts will ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services that align with our Divisional and Group HR strategy, ultimately contributing to our business success. Role Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation of HR initiatives and operational employee strategy within the businesses working with the Head of HR and colleagues, initiating and influencing change management programmes.
  • Using experience, skills and knowledge of the HR industry, make a positive impact in key areas such as change management, organisational design, employee engagement, performance, reward, L&D and talent analytics.
  • Pro-actively manage, advise and support the full HR life cycle within the businesses.
  • Identify issues, trends and explore underlying causes to provide effective HR solutions/projects/initiatives.
  • Support line managers across the business on organisational structure and design, championing communication and employee engagement across the business.
  • Work with colleagues and Group HR Centres of Excellence to support and uphold policy and procedures, providing input in to the development of best practice HR.
  • Coach line managers to be effective people leaders, ensuring accountability through decision making and communication, within the parameters of Group and Divisional policy and practice, as well all regional employment law.
  • Undertake any other reasonable ad hoc duties, including projects, as and when required, acting as delegate for the Head of HR – Energy during periods of absence.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required

  • Excellent listener with strong information-gathering abilities.
  • Pragmatic and confident under pressure, balancing business and individual needs.
  • Clear, concise communicator, adept in both written and oral forms.
  • Data-driven, capable of articulating the HR agenda in a business context.
  • Safety and risk conscious, promoting progressive solution management.
  • Highly organized with effective prioritization and delegation skills.
  • Strong coaching abilities, fostering accountability and solution ownership.
  • Effective safety leader, promoting a safety culture aligned with business needs.
  • Respectful and professional, sensitive to cultural and individual differences, fostering an inclusive and diverse environment.

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent), progressing towards Level 7.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and presentation tools.
  • Experienced with HR Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, Recruitment Platforms, and Performance & Talent Management Systems.
  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor.
