The Role:
The Senior Accountant provides bookkeeping and financial accounting services, ensuring accurate transaction processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
The role is responsible for managing creditors, debtors, fixed assets, financial reporting, taxation, and audit/compliance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and monthly closing / balance sheet
- reconciliations.
- Ensure smooth flow of reports to the Head Office including COGNOS reporting/submissions.
- Assist in forecasting (quarterly) and budgeting process including but not limited to COGNOS reporting.
- Creditor management which includes timely processing and review of supplier invoices, reconciliation with suppliers SOA and preparation of supplier payment run.
- Debtors’ management which includes liaising with projects team on timely and accurate preparation of customer invoices according to contracts, preparation of customers’ SOA, billings to related parties and ensuring overdue invoices are collected.
- Fixed assets register regular update which includes processing of asset disposals, additions and monthly depreciation.
- Prepare revenue, expense, contractors’ payroll and staff expenses entries and other
- accounting documents (accruals/prepayments/ and general journals posting).
- Monthly/quarterly preparation & submission of VAT and WHT, ZATCA.
- Set up of contractors’ salaries and supplier payments in Subtech Saudi SABB accounts.
- Internal and external audit file preparation within reporting timeframe.
- Maintenance of month-end files/documents in the shared folder for balance sheet reconciliations/checklist.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven working experience on a Senior Accounting role.
- Experience of overall combined accounting and finance experience, background from auditing firms would be ideal.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience in preparation of financial statements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
- Excellent accounting software user/excel and administration skill.
