Master Data Controller

Remote, with visits to Inchinnan office as required
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Master Data Controller to take ownership of the creation and maintenance of master data within our business ERP systems. In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring data quality and integrity across the company, aligning customer demands with internal supply chain and planning to meet contractual requirements. You will ensure the appropriate and consistent use of the ERP system to enable global planning across multiple locations and legal entities. Demonstrating the JFD values and behaviors, and leading by example, the Master Data Controller will be a key member of the planning team, always looking for ways to develop and improve processes, procedures, and systems. Additionally, you will be a key stakeholder and contributor to the business Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data management strategies for all customer demands, system requirements and associated internal supply chain activities within the ERP system.
- Identify and communicate areas of risk or conflict within the system for data management (lead times, system exceptions, BOM structure etc)
- Coordinate with global planning resources to develop and maintain a common work identification methodology within the ERP system to enable effective reporting.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy and integrity
- Monitor global ERP planning status, highlight and address areas for improvement.
- Support global functions to manage product release through various systems to ensure best practice and standard workflow
- Continuously improve demand loading processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- Proven experience in ERP planning and scheduling within a mixed production environment across multiple sites.
- Sound operational knowledge of ERP systems and material planning logic.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex data to make informed decisions.
- Solid understanding of engineer to order contracts and the challenges associated with ERP system control with complex engineered products.
- A passion for Continuous improvement and developing better ways of working, Lean Six Sigma experience desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels and across international regions.
- Business and commercial acumen.
- Previous experience of commercially sensitive projects and the security aspects this entails.
