The Role 

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Key Accounts Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of high-value tier 1 clients. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for nurturing and expanding relationships with key accounts, each involving multiple stakeholders across complex organizational structures. These clients include some of the most prominent names in the energy sector and commodity trading, ranging from leading private firms to large-scale, state-owned conglomerates.

You will play a central role in executing our strategic sales plan, building robust sales pipelines, and delivering tailored solutions that drive revenue growth and enhance customer satisfaction. With a multi-million-pound pipeline under your management and individual opportunities exceeding £100k, your ability to identify and maximize commercial opportunities will be critical to achieving ambitious revenue and margin targets.

This is a highly collaborative position, requiring close coordination with internal teams to ensure client needs are met with precision and innovation. The role involves regular domestic and international travel, averaging around 50% of your time, as you work to strengthen client partnerships and represent the business on a global stage. The role requires regular travel, with a significant portion of your time dedicated to meeting clients in London or traveling via London-based airports. As many of our functional teams are based in Norfolk, candidates located in or near London or Norfolk will be ideally positioned to thrive in this role.

Role Accountabilities 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor key marketing campaigns to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement strategies for key accounts and campaigns.
  • Analyse market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on key account performance and campaign effectiveness.
  • Ensure alignment of key account and campaign strategies with overall business goals.
  • Manage budgets and resources for key accounts and campaigns.

    Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience 

  • Strong understanding of sales processes and marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing and developing relationships with key accounts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
