The Energy Division provides safe, sustainable products and services for two core markets, oil and gas and renewables.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead our Supply Chain operations within Energy Services, part of the James Fisher Energy Division. Reporting to the Head of Energy Services, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to optimise supply chain efficiency, enhance operational performance, and drive cost savings across a global footprint.
This newly created role will play a key role in integrating the supply chain function within the business
Principle Accountabilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating strategic agreements for volume purchases.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate forecasting and alignment of supply with demand.
- Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely delivery while optimising costs and reducing emissions.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through contingency planning and alternative sourcing.
- Ensure quality standards are upheld and foster a culture of innovation and improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior supply chain role within the upstream energy sector (oil & gas, maritime, or offshore wind).
- Strong strategic buying experience, including contract negotiation and supplier agreements.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
- CIPS qualification and a relevant degree or HND are desirable.
