The Role:
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the manufacturing, assembly and service of the company’s products as directed by the senior team.
Ensure that products conform, QA processes and safety is adhered too.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervision and training of Trainee/Assistant Technicians
- Signs off controlled company documentation.
- Planning workloads and delegating tasks.
- Carries out all operational activities in a safe and reliable manner.
- Participate in the movement of materials through workshop from start to completion.
- Development of team’s skills and competencies
- Effectively communicate with other departments and stakeholders.
- Organise the workshop areas and ensure they are kept clean.
In addition, work with the engineers to keep products up to date to ensure the future proofing of products.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship or training program in a technical discipline to a minimum of a NVQ qualification (or equivalent nationally recognised qualification).
- Previous experience within a mechanical discipline.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Health and Safety within the work environment.
- Proven track record within a manufacturing/ service environment.
