Vacancy: Project Manager
Location: Preston / Remote (UK-wide)
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
The Role:
At James Fisher Renewables, we’re expanding to meet the demands of a dynamic and fast-evolving energy landscape. As a Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering projects across global markets including Japan and Holland. From short, sharp cable repairs to long-term maintenance packages, you’ll manage diverse projects with agility and precision.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring operational excellence.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Lead project delivery from tender handover through execution
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and risk registers
- Ensure timely invoicing and cash collection
- Drive stakeholder engagement and client satisfaction
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Support procurement and supply chain processes
- Collaborate across teams to streamline operations and reduce duplication
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree qualified and working towards professional accreditation
- Proven track record in managing complex, high-value projects
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and Office 365
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience within a transmission operator environment, preferable in the UK or can demonstrate working within highly regulated, procedure driven controlled environments
- Experience working with Developers, Asset Owners and Power Cable OEMs
- Technical knowledge of Offshore Wind System lifecycle and various stages of design, installation, monitoring and maintenance
- IOSH / NEBOSH qualified
- Professional accreditation with a recognised body
