The Role:
The function of this role is to manage end to end project lifecycle of James Fisher’s compressed air delivery packages which support bubble curtain operations globally on both client PSV/AHV vessels and large HLV vessels.
You will have responsibility for the design and delivery of projects technically and operationally, in line with the agreed scope of work and as sold model
We are seeking someone with the ability to build strong relationships both internally across multiple functions and key stakeholders, and interface with customers both technically and commercially.
Principle Accountabilities:
Provide Technical Input:
Ensure technical input and delivery of projects from FEED stage through to execution, serving as the customer focal point for technical queries.
Innovate Client Solutions:
Develop new solutions to client problems using the in house ScanTech expertise/toolbox, and support operations teams with selecting the relevant tooling to complete the SOW.
Ensure Service Excellence:
Deliver excellent service by working closely with the team to provide fit-for-purpose solutions and conducting failure mode analysis.
Maintain Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all project scopes are delivered safely and in accordance with the JFS Integrated Management System, including pre-mobilisation briefs and operational procedures.
Manage Project Delivery:
Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate all aspects of project delivery, ensuring technical feasibility, risk management, budget control and customer satisfaction.
Forecast and Manage Resources:
Regularly forecast Technician requirements - in conjunction with operations and ensure resource planning aligns with project needs.
Oversee Financial and Administrative Tasks:
Review monthly invoicing, participate in meetings, and ensure timely project closure with reconciliation of purchase orders and final reporting.
This role will primarily be responsible for completing monthly field tickets and obtaining client approval on agreed performance milestones being reached.
Drive Continuous Improvement:
Conduct incident investigations, after-action reviews, and document lessons learned to drive process improvements and maintain strong working relationships with internal service functions.
Cash Collection Monitoring:
Regularly review outstanding receivables with the finance team and Identify delays or risks in cash collection and escalate promptly to the client.
Project level financial/budget responsibility to deliver control budget margin and support the project and operations coordinators functionally reporting to the role.
This is a global role covering all projects where ScanTechs air compressor packages are deployed to support bubble curtains (UK, Europe, USA to Asia).
Qualifications and Experience:
Ideally you will have a degree or HND in an engineering discipline or the relevant project experience and /or engineering/field experience.
Relevant offshore experience from working on offshore construction vessels, drilling rigs and or offshore platforms with similar equipment as offered by ScanTech/James Fisher i.e. Controlled Flow Excavation, Well Testing/Well Test Support, decommissioning and/or well P/A experience would be desirable.
