The Role:
We are looking for a Head of APAC – Renewables to lead our growth and innovation across the Asia Pacific region. As the most senior representative in this market, you will have full P&L accountability and the mandate to define and deliver a bold strategy for sustainable, profitable expansion.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you will represent the Group with key stakeholders, drive investment decisions, and build a strong local presence to ensure safe and efficient execution. What you’ll be doing:
- Champion HSEQ as a core part of culture, systems, and leadership.
- Deliver financial performance with accurate, timely regional P&L and reporting.
- Drive business development, maintain a compliant CRM pipeline, and adhere to Sales & Tender Gate Approvals.
- Build strong market networks to create opportunities and deliver differentiated solutions.
- Monitor market trends to inform product and service development.
- Represent the Group at industry events and networking opportunities within budget.
- Collaborate across divisions to maximize synergies and regional growth.
- Strengthen the James Fisher Renewables brand through strategic engagement and marketing.
- Lead regional sales strategy, analysing competitors, trends, and internal capabilities.
- Implement risk-minimising project management practices and continuous improvement processes.
- Ensure projects are planned, resourced, and delivered safely, on time, and to high standards.
- Develop relationships with local shareholders and strategic partners.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, environmental regulations, and Group policies.
- Foster a customer-focused culture through strong leadership.
- Manage employee performance, onboarding, and regular objective reviews.
- Drive succession planning and talent development to support retention and growth.
- Promote a positive, consistent global image aligned with Group Valued Behaviours.
What we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience operating in the APAC region in offshore wind and/or subsea contracting.
- Degree-level education or higher; engineering background with commercial experience preferred.
- Strong track record in business development or commercial management within a related industry.
- Expertise in leading and implementing regional strategies to drive customer engagement and growth.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver financial and operational KPIs.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams for profitable growth.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends and shape company direction.
- Highly collaborative, influential, and skilled at stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experienced in full employee lifecycle management, including recruitment, performance, and retention.
- Self-starter with vision-selling ability and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Process-oriented, disciplined, and focused on continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to build business cases and proposals.
