Stores Assistant

The Role:
We are looking for a practical and organised Stores Assistant to support our onsite operations in Vaxholm, Rindö. The role involves processing, organising, and storing inventory, as well as picking, packing, scanning, and preparing orders for delivery. You will also prepare working packages for the installation team and help keep consumables stocked and the workshop tidy.
The position includes operating machinery such as forklifts and a tractor within a fenced area, so experience or willingness to obtain relevant certifications is beneficial. We are seeking someone proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in an active workshop environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Move inventory and materials across facilities, moving materials from stores to the workshop pickup area.
- Sort, organise, and store inventory in proper location. Package items and label correctly.
- Unload and scan delivered items. Stack and organise large bulk items and ensure quality.
- Update logs and documentation for inventory processing. Book in material in our business system (Glovia).
- On occasion operate heavy machinery such as tractors, forklifts and overhead cranes to move or store inventory.
- Ensure workspace is free of debris and be an important part of the continuous cleaning of the workshop including emptying garbage and hazardous waste.
- Ensure availability of consumable material in the workshop, including purchasing when required.
- Support the workshop installation team during busy periods.
- Support the logistics team with tasks including checking, packing, and unpacking shipments, stock counting, signing delivery notes, and issuing stock to the workshop team.
- Handle service reports, equipment test/run sheets, and load out sheets as required.
- Administrate invoices from consultants and vendors.
- Ensure all Purchase Orders are prepared correctly.
- Point of contact with vendors to ensure quality and right pricing.
What we’re looking for:
- Good written and verbal communications skills both English and Swedish.
- Ability to work effectively within a team structure, accept and understand management instruction manage own timescales and specified timescales effectively.
- Systematic and methodical.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Driving license, type B.
Nice to have:
- Forklift license.
- Tractor license.
- Experience of warehouse business systems and warehouse work.
