Field Technician (Onshore/Offshore)

The Role:
The Service Technician (Onshore/Offshore) is responsible for the safe preparation, operation, maintenance, and deployment of James Fisher Energy equipment and services in support of offshore and onshore energy projects.
The role supports installation, inspection, maintenance, and decommissioning activities, ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and applicable industry standards.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, both onshore and offshore, to deliver high-quality technical services while maintaining a strong focus on safety, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Key Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of offshore and onshore equipment and systems.
- Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot faults, and provide technical support to offshore operations to meet project objectives.
- Carry out routine and corrective maintenance activities, including lubrication, inspection, and functional testing of equipment and machinery.
- Perform assembly, disassembly, and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components as required.
- Ensure all equipment and activities comply with company procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Provide technical expertise and hands-on support to project teams during onshore and offshore operations.
- Plan and execute maintenance activities and assess the performance and reliability of components and equipment.
Key skills, knowledge and experience:
- Understanding of operational processes and maintenance activities.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, health and safety policies, and quality assurance processes.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including disassembly, servicing, greasing, assembly, and function testing
- Experience in performing maintenance, lubrication, and testing of components, equipment, and machines.
- Background in assembly and disassembly of equipment, as well as repair of parts.
- Proven track record in planning maintenance activities and evaluating the performance of components and machines
