The Role
Join our Engineering & Innovations team as a Technical Assistant and play a key role in keeping our projects running smoothly. You’ll be the go‑to person for coordinating documentation, supporting engineering processes, and preparing essential technical information.
In this varied and fast‑paced role, you’ll provide vital administrative, technical, and organisational assistance to our engineers, project teams, and wider internal stakeholders, helping ensure every project is delivered with precision and efficiency.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare, format, and update engineering documentation in line with internal standards.
- Provide support to engineers by assembling job packages, test documents, and handover files.
- Help keep design reviews running smoothly by preparing templates and distributing updated materials.
- Create and maintain a set of engineering documentation templates.
- Assist with collecting technical data, producing simple layouts or drawings, and organising equipment documentation.
- Help prepare technical files, certificates, datasheets, and compliance documents.
- Gather and compile information for engineering BOMs, change records, and other compliance requirements.
- Coordinate small tasks across engineering, procurement, and workshop teams to keep work progressing.
- Track the status of engineering actions, NCRs, ECNs, and technical queries.
- Maintain scheduling details and follow‑up logs to allow timely delivery of engineering outputs.
What we're looking for
- Technical administrative experience in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of engineering documentation and quality systems.
- Experience with CAD, PLM, or document control systems is beneficial.
- Strong organisational, communication, and MS Office skills.
- Detail‑focused, structured, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Collaborative mindset with good interpersonal skills.
- Curious, eager to learn, and comfortable working across different teams and engineering workflows.
