The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Advisor to play a key role in ensuring our products and services meet customer, regulatory, and international quality standards from concept through to delivery and in‑service support.
This is a hands‑on role working closely with engineering, production, procurement and project teams across JFD Australia. You will be instrumental in deploying quality frameworks early in the lifecycle, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance across complex engineering and manufacturing environments.
Based in Caringbah, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a highly technical and safety‑critical industry.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deploy quality frameworks across product and service development activities
- Support engineering and production teams to define and meet customer, regulatory and internal quality requirements
- Develop and review Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures
- Conduct internal process and supplier manufacturing audits
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards and quality management practices
- Experience conducting internal and supplier audits
- Capability to interpret mechanical, technical and/or electrical drawings
- Experience with root cause analysis tools and quality investigations
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively at all organisational levels
- Strong analytical, reporting and documentation skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Desirable:
- Lead Auditor qualification
- Experience with ERP systems (Glovia desirable)
- Experience using Quality Management Systems (QMS) software
- Prior exposure to regulated or defence‑related environments
