The Role:
The Project Manager will support the Commercial Diving Sales team by coordinating and delivering a global portfolio of projects aligned to JFD’s commercial strategy. You’ll manage project performance, budgets, and reporting while ensuring full compliance with JFD processes and the PMO framework. Working within a multi‑disciplinary team, you’ll drive projects to completion on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards, with occasional international travel as required.
Although the role has no direct reports, you will lead through influence promoting safety, best practice, clear communication, and strong collaborative relationships. This is an ideal role for a delivery‑focused project manager who thrives in a dynamic, customer‑focused environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assist with delivery performance inclusive of financial performance against budget and satisfactory achievement of contractual and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to achieve contractual requirements.
- Monitor, compile and submit project reports to the customer and internal management capturing the status of the project in line with PMO processes. This will include working and reporting on contractual KPI’s.
- Ensure health, safety, environment, sustainability and security objectives are achieved throughout the lifecycle of the project along with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Develop detailed project plans to guide the customer and internal stakeholders on the projects progress, status and variances from the plan.
- Assist with the identification, evaluation, mitigation and reporting all risks to ensure that JFD delivers to its contractual requirements.
- Ensure projects are executed in accordance with JFD’s Global Project Execution Process (GPEP), New Process Design (NPD) and associated procedures to ensure that the governance is maintained throughout the project.
- Work with our HSEQ Department to ensure compliance with all Safety, Quality and Environmental policies, processes, and procedures.
- Accurately communicate project status and performance through the tiered management system daily, weekly and monthly as required. This will include working and reporting contractual KPI’s.
What we’re looking for:
- Project management / Planning experience.
- Experienced working in teams of varied disciplines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Ability to drive work in challenging and pressurised situations.
- Excellent analytical skills including working knowledge of MS Office Programs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at all levels of an organisation.
- Be flexible and available to travel worldwide if required.
Nice to have:
- International product delivery experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Awareness of maritime and defence standards and international quality & safety standards would be advantageous.
- APM Project Fundamentals & Project Management Qualification (or similar)
- Familiar with international Quality and Safety standards (ISO 9001, 45001 etc.)
- Experience of commercially sensitive projects.
- Should hold or be able to obtain SC level clearance.
