Are you a seasoned Mechanical Engineer ready to elevate your career? An exciting opportunity awaits you at JFD Global! We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering design solutions and through life engineering support to the JFD product range. In this role your workload can vary from new product design to meet client or internal specifications through to supporting an existing client’s request to upgrade or change equipment in the field.

What you’ll be doing

• Assess technical queries and provide engineering design input to new products and support existing product range
• Liaise with internal JFD departments such as sales, procurement, and production to ensure the best technical solution is provided in all instances
• Sourcing suitable components and materials when required and creation of part numbers and bill of materials
• Creation of engineering documentation such as specifications, proposals, assembly instructions, test procedures, certification and reports
• Checking detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation and adherence to company standards and processes and compliance to internal and external standards & regulations
• Ensuring engineering solutions are provided on time and on budget
• Site visits to other JFD offices and client assets as and when required.

• Ability to work as part of a team but also in isolation when required.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Methodical and thorough whilst generating and checking documentation.
• Ability to adapt to changing scope or client demands.

• Proven mechanical design skills
• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience
• Skilled in generating design calculations
• Good knowledge of manufacturing techniques
• Good knowledge of gas and fluid systems
• Knowledge of design standards
• Knowledge of industry guidelines such as IMCA
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management system for generating and storage of engineering packages.
