Our Vacancy
We are recruiting for a Project Planner and Scheduler to join our team in Inchinnan on a full-time, permanent basis. As the Project Planner and Scheduler you will be responsible for ensuring best practices are applied across all projects, with a high level of detail, accuracy, precision, consistency and auditability to enhance projects status visibility and enable pro-active management for strategically important international projects.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop, maintain and manage the Planning system for projects
- In conjunction with Project Team and supporting departments, develop work, cost and operational structures and define baseline schedules
- Establish, manage and update fully resourced schedule for assigned projects
- Establish, manage and update ERP work order structure for assigned projects ensuring global work order standards are met
- Ensure all Changes and Variations are captured in the schedule and the impact evaluated, proposing alternative/corrective solutions
- Liaise with Clients and Subcontractors or Vendors to ensure full compliance and control of the overall integrated project schedule
- Develop, maintain and manage Projects specific planning, scheduling, reporting processes and procedures, ensuring their application
- Prepare regular internal and external project reports for management
- Provide manpower analysis and trends for forecasting, assessing resources availability
- Prepare short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from all key players and team members
- Measure, control and report project progress highlighting any issues or areas of concern.
What we’re looking for
Experience
- Previous Planning / Scheduling
- Proficient user of Primavera P6 and MS-Project
- Risk analysis
- Progress measurement
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Defence, heavy engineer industry, manufacturing, diving/subsea preferred, on-shore and off-shore (Project Planner, Planning Engineer, Project Controller).
Qualifications and Knowledge
- Degree (Business Administration/Finance/Engineering) is desirable
- Understanding of ERP processes
- APM or PMI Certification is an advantage
- Good knowledge of excel; configuration of ERPs (Glovia, SAP, JD Edwards) in a project environment is an advantage
- Would hold or be able to obtain SC level clearance.
