The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity within JFD Vaxholm for a Warehouse Assistant to join the team.
The successful candidate will ensure inventory is processed, organized, and stored. You’ll pack, scan, and prepare orders for delivery and also pick and prepare equipment packages for the installation/workshop team.
You will also ensure consumables are always on hand and help keep the workshop tidy. You may also operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and driving tractor within fenced area
Key Accountabilities
- Move inventory and materials across facilities. Move materials from stores to workstations.
- Sort, organize, and store inventory in proper location. Package items and label correctly.
- Unload deliveries and store in proper location. Scan delivered items. Stack and organize large bulk items.
- Update logs and documentation for inventory processing. Book in material in our business system (Glovia).
- Operate heavy machinery like forklifts and overhead cranes to move or store inventory.
- Ensure workspace is free of debris and be an important part of the continuous cleaning of the workshop including emptying garbage and hazardous waste.
- Ensure availability of consumable material in the workshop.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills.
- Good written and verbal communications skills both English and Swedish.
- Ability to work effectively within a team structure, accept and understand management instruction manage own timescales and specified timescales effectively.
- Systematic and methodical.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Driving license, type B.
- Forklift license, desirable.
- Tractor license, desirable.
- Past experience of warehouse business systems desirable.
- Past experience of warehouse work, desirable.
- Experience from handling warehouse management system, desirable.
- Swedish citizen that is assessed to pass Swedish security clearance.
