About the Role

Asset Performance Specialist
Full-time, Permanent
Bamber-Bridge, Hybrid working

The Role:

Join us in driving the success of OFTO projects across our renewable energy portfolio. This role ensures assets perform reliably and deliver maximum commercial value by turning asset management strategies into actionable plans that optimise performance and compliance.

You’ll work in a technical environment focused on data-driven decision-making, commercial insight, and effective coordination rather than hands-on engineering. Key responsibilities include managing asset data integrity and reporting, analysing large datasets to identify trends, supporting planning activities, and driving process improvements.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with engineering and commercial teams, confident handling technical information, and able to combine analytical capability with strategic thinking. A background in energy—particularly transmission or renewables—is advantageous. Strong organisational skills, stakeholder engagement, and commercial awareness are essential.

We offer flexible hybrid working from our Bamber Bridge office, providing an opportunity to make a real impact in a growing sector.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the Asset Manager in developing and delivering compliant annual asset documentation for OFTO sites.
  • Ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements and client specifications.
  • Interrogate and add value to large datasets, driving performance improvements and supporting monthly asset performance meetings.
  • Analyse operational data collected from site assets to identify performance deviations, forecast maintenance needs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the strategic planning of OFTO operations, optimising site works and workforce deployment for maximum efficiency and value.
  • Collaborate with operational delivery teams and stakeholders to ensure plan implementation, resolve technical/commercial conflicts, and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Drive innovation in asset monitoring, data analytics, and digital tools.
  • Prepare technical documentation and project reports to support decision-making and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide technical input during audits, inspections, and client reviews.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimisation and digital transformation.

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree qualified would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in HV asset management, offshore wind, or transmission system assets.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel; proficient in Microsoft Project or equivalent.
  • Experience with CMMS systems and asset management tools.
  • Strong understanding of asset management principles (e.g., ISO 55001).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Commercial and financial experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Why join us?

  • Competitive salary and benefits package aligned with experience (Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance, Cycle to work scheme, Company Pension, etc.)
  • Clear pathways for career development and organisational visibility.
  • Inclusive and supportive culture that values individual contributions.
  • Meaningful work with impact across safety, innovation, and global operations.
