Draughtsperson
Full time, permanent

The Role:

We are looking for a Draughtsperson to take concepts from initial design through to detailed drawings, bills of materials, and documentation. You will create 3D models and CAD images using SolidWorks to support engineering and wider business needs, ensuring compliance with the latest draughting and engineering standards.

The ideal candidate is a certified SolidWorks user with a methodical approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing requirements. Experience with PDM Pro, subsea or offshore projects, and familiarity with marine or defence standards such as LR and DNV is advantageous but not essential. You should be proactive, willing to take ownership, and focused on delivering high-quality outputs to tight deadlines.

We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills in Swedish and English, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You should be organised, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality, cost-efficient solutions on time and within budget.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Produce functionally safe, cost-effective, and manufacturable designs and concepts using 3D modelling to support engineering tasks
  • Produce comprehensive and precise machining and fabrication drawings, as well as 2D schematics when required
  • Produce clear and well-structured assembly and interface drawings as well as overall general arrangements
  • General draughting support to wider engineering functions when necessary, and other departments if requested
  • Close liaison with draughting team to share knowledge and produce effective design, drawing and modelling solutions
  • Adhere to and uphold internal JFD draughting standards in accordance with company literature
  • Accountability and responsibility as initial checker of drawings in PLM, paying close attention to internal draughting standards
  • Support the draughting team lead responsible with company process and procedural updates when required

What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Capable of producing 3D models the meet the requirements of the engineering team
  • Sound knowledge of draughting principles
  • Strong draughting skills
  • Experience in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD package
  • Knowledge of schematics and proficient at using AutoCAD
  • Excellent attention to detail in regard to technical drawing checks
  • Experience in design of subsea equipment is favourable, but not essential
  • Focused on delivering to tight deadlines and specifications
  • Capable of reacting to changes and willing to go the extra mile to deliver quality products
  • Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, both English and Swedish.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team structure, accept and understand instructions and specified timescales effectively
  • Flexible for travel to other company sites, suppliers if required
