The Role:
Join our Test and Training team and take a leading role in operating and trialling our underwater craft. You’ll run sea trials, train divers and operators, and deliver live demonstrations for customers in Sweden and abroad. In this hands‑on role, you will act as dive supervisor, manage all diving‑equipment checks and maintenance, and support workshop teams with craft systems.
You will help drive operational planning, safety assessments, and diving exercises, with the potential to advance into a Head of Operations role working directly with Swedish and international special operations forces. A military background in a diver unit, strong knowledge of safety procedures, and experience training divers is essential.
What you’ll be doing:
- Maintaining own personnel equipment and tools.
- Maintaining test reports.
- Follow safety regulations, environmental and JFDS Policy and Quality Assurance Systems.
- Other tasks as directed by JFD Sweden management team.
What we’re looking for:
- Professional divers certificate S 30 or higher.
- Diver supervisor certificate S 30 or higher.
- Competent in diving with closed, semi closed and open-air systems.
- Medical clearance and be physically fit for diving.
- Navigation and small boats experience.
- Navigation competence N8.
- Comfortable reading, understanding, and maintaining written instructions in Swedish and English.
- Comfortable reacting to changes and willing to go the extra mile to deliver quality products.
- Good written and verbal communications skills both English and Swedish.
- Ability to work effectively within a team structure, accept and understand management instruction manage own timescales and specified timescales effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Flexibility to travel locally or overseas if required.
