Talent and Resourcing Advisor

The Role:
Join a dynamic, high-impact Talent and Resourcing team at James Fisher and Sons, where we play a central role in shaping the organisation’s global hiring strategy. As part of our in-house function, our Talent and Resourcing Advisors deliver a proactive, value-driven service that goes beyond recruitment, partnering closely with the business to attract, engage, and retain top talent worldwide.
Due to a particularly busy period, we’re looking for additional support to help drive our ambitious agenda. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the full talent lifecycle, identifying, sourcing, and managing talent pipelines aligned to JFS goals and future growth. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your expertise will directly influence hiring outcomes across diverse global markets.
Experience in in-house recruitment is highly beneficial, and exposure to engineering and international hiring will set you apart. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact while working alongside a team committed to excellence and continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing?
- Support end-to-end recruitment across both high-volume and specialist roles.
- Partner closely with the Talent & Resourcing team to deliver a tailored recruitment service.
- Coach and support hiring managers to build recruitment capability and interview skills.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and HRBPs to understand hiring needs.
- Create engaging job adverts and source candidates across multiple channels, including screening and selection.
- Drive talent initiatives: market mapping, talent pooling, headhunting, and succession planning.
- Train and guide managers on Talent & Resourcing processes.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and understand future talent needs.
- Manage external supplier relationships, including the PSL.
- Deliver innovative attraction campaigns to secure top talent.
What we're looking for:
- Proven in-house recruitment experience with global exposure (energy, defence, or maritime background will be preferred).
- Skilled in ATS, job boards, CV databases, and building talent pipelines
- Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel.
- Good understanding of GDPR and compliance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Able to manage high-volume workloads and prioritise effectively.
- Works well independently and within a team.
- Strong stakeholder management with a consultative, influencing approach.
- Maintains confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
- Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, global recruitment environment.
