The Opportunity
As a Decommissioning Project Manager, you will manage company operations and services of the assigned projects ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with Customer and Company requirements. 
 
The primary projects will be those which require well P/A, well severance, structure and sub structure decommissioning and subsea infrastructure removal with understanding and application of decommissioning services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all aspects of the project are conducted in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for technical input and delivery of projects from tender stage and the full project lifecycle.
  • Lead the review of the “as sold” Cost, Time & Resource model and oversee the preparation of the project control budget and baseline project schedule.
  • Ensure weekly monitoring of project costs and value of work done against the project control budget, alert senior management of any concerns as soon as they become apparent.
  • Ensure invoices are reviewed approved and issued promptly in accordance with the contract.
  • Liaise with the client and Product Line finance department to ensure that cash collection is achieved in accordance with the contract payment schedule and that debtor days is minimised.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the project commercial risk register and alert senior management of any concerns.
  • Have knowledge of the contract with the ability to identify and secure variation order opportunities and implement measures to mitigate commercial risk.
  • Identify, establish and manage the integrated project team ensuring the required functional expertise required to deliver the project is managed effectively throughout project life
  • Conduct and document a weekly review of the project deliverables, progress against baseline plan, and alert senior Product Line management of any concerns 
  • Weekly update and review of the project procurement plan.
  • Support with the procurement and supplier selection process in terms of cost, quality, compliance with contract specification and project schedule requirements.
  • Ensure that all staff, contractors, sub-contractors and associated 3rd parties are fully inducted with regards to the project scope of work and HSE control measures.
  • Ensure monitoring, tracking and reporting of all cost of poor-quality events and lessons learned throughout the project life cycle. 
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with internal service functions.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate the delivery of all aspects of the project, taking responsibility for the technical feasibility, technical support, project risks, budget and margin control (CTR’S) (Project Risk Assessments)
  • Oversee the production of operational procedures for each project and approve prior to presentation to clients.
  • Conduct pre-mobilisation full project briefs and identify competency gaps in the offshore execution teams.
  • Ensure Technician requirements are forecasted regularly to allow for resource planning.
  • Any other duties as required.
What we are looking for:
  • A degree or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline or business administration.
  • Commercial and Project Management experience within the Energy, Maritime, Transport and Defence sectors. 
  • Project Management Professional Certification will be an advantage. 
  • Contract administration and budget management experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Organised and proactive attitude.
