The Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Marketing Executive to join JFD Global and support with the delivery of marketing and communications activities.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about communications and engagement and strives to always deliver and exceed expectations. In return, you will join a very niche and interesting industry and will be given the opportunity to grow and develop within the business.
The role will be based in our Westhill office in Aberdeen, and we offer hybrid working arrangements. There might be occasional travel to our Glasgow office as well as different events.
Principle Accountabilities
- Working with JFD Head of Marketing, you will play a key supporting role in the development and delivery of marketing campaigns, via appropriate content, tools and tactics, to deliver highly targeted and personalised campaigns.
- Working closely with the JFD Head of Marketing to fully understand our business, markets and customers, and the value we bring through our solutions and services.
- Responsible for developing and delivering the social media strategy to promote events, product launches and news items.
- Coordinate, deliver and report on internal and external communications developing engaging content for use across various channels, ensuring consistent brand messaging to support company initiatives, enhance team alignment and strengthen stakeholder engagement.
- Produce engaging content for various platforms, including website, social media, email newsletters and blogs, ensuring alignment with brand tone and messaging and track campaign performance.
- Assist in the planning and execution of product launch campaigns, coordinating with key teams and stakeholders.
- Support with timely delivery of key tradeshows and events, liaising both internally and externally with third parties.
- Work in close partnership with the JFD Head of Marketing and James Fisher & Sons Central Marketing Team to achieve cohesion and best practice in the implementation and execution of all marketing activities (internal and external).
- Work as a ‘One James Fisher’ team and play a key role in supporting with the communication of the transformation story of James Fisher both externally and internally to maximise employee engagement.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills
- Proficiency in Marketing tools (e.g. social media, CRM, CMS, Microsoft Office Suite and preferred but not essential, Adobe software).
- Previous experience in a similar role in Marketing and/or Communications.
- Previous exposure to events, managing websites and campaigns, social media.
- B2B experience will be beneficial.
- Team player with outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail is essential.
- Highly organised and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly adjust to changing priorities or campaign needs.
- Creative thinker able to generate innovative ideas and adapt to new trends.
- Motivated to work independently and collaboratively in a busy, time-critical role.
- Passion and demonstrable evidence for safety in all we do.
